Welcome to the Altius Alliance
If you are a graduate fresh from university or looking for a career change and are interested in making a difference to the futures of young people across South Manchester and Cheshire then look no further. The Altius Alliance offers a gateway to a rewarding profession with its Primary and Secondary teacher training courses.
The Ofsted-outstanding Alliance is led by Cheadle Hulme High School which holds an excellent reputation both locally and nationally for the success of its students’ outcomes. The majority of weekly generic training takes place at Cheadle Hulme High School working alongside the expert practitioners that have been instrumental in building its success and are committed to Initial Teacher Training.
Both the primary and secondary courses lead to achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE (SCITT) with 60 Masters Credits.
The primary course participants get the opportunity to train within our primary partner schools located in South Manchester and Cheshire.
The Altius Alliance opened its School Centred Teacher Training in 2015. The Alliance is part of the Laurus Trust, an expanding Multi Academy Trust with many opportunities for Newly Qualified Teachers across the primary and secondary sectors. Our secondary course participants get the opportunity to undertake at least one placement in a Laurus Trust school.
Due to the current coronavirus situation all upcoming events and SEP days have been suspended.
The SCITT has an excellent reputation for producing NQTs who are confident and competent teachers.
The overall effectiveness of the Altius Alliance SCITT is outstanding.
Trainees receive innovative training to raise their awareness of broader professional issues such as mental health, articulacy and literacy.
